The Supreme Court heard satirical poet Tofig Hasanli’s cassation appeal at a hearing chaired by Judge Imran Hajigayibov. According to the poet’s lawyers, the appeal was not granted. Hasanli was also attending the court session, where he sought the annulment of the lower courts’ judgment and his acquittal. » » » »

“Aziz Orujov, head of Kanal13, faces inhuman treatment in Baku Detention Centre,” Aziz Orujov’s brother Anar Orujov has reported.
“Aziz has been banned from walking in the open air. A phone call to his family was interrupted. He was treated inhumanly even when demanding that the window of the room be opened,” Anar Orujov noted.
