He has freelanced for various local and international media organizations and outlets including Institute for War &amp; Peace Reporting (IWPR) and Ayna\/Zerkalo newspaper.<br \/>\nAbbasov holds various journalism awards, including local \u201cMedia Key Award\u201d in 2007and Index on Censorship \u201cGuardian for Journalism Award\u201d in 2012.<br \/>\nAbbasov holds bachelor degree from the Azerbaijan State Economic University.
