His other complaints are about detention conditions, and denial of his requests to see his family or to be provided with newspapers. These all affects his health negatively,&#8221; said the lawyer. \u00a0\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><i>Background<\/i>: Bizim Yol newspaper journalist and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/moderator.az\/\" target=\"_blank\">moderator.az<\/a>\u00a0editor-in-chief Parviz Hashimli was detained on\u00a0September 17th\u00a0by employees of the Ministry of National Security. On\u00a0September 18th\u00a0the journalist was handed down a two-month pretrial detention sentence by the Sabail District Court under two articles of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code: Article 206.3.2 (smuggling of firearms on preliminary arrangement by an organized group) and 228.2.1 (illegal obtaining, storing, carrying firearms and their spare parts on preliminary arrangement by an organized group).
