It includes the names of 122 people.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The previous list, released on June 4, included 121 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since then, three people have been released who were arrested for participating in the Karabakh action on July 14-15, 2020, but convicted on charges of deliberately spreading coronavirus infection. At the same time, the list was supplemented with 4 names.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New on this list are: a member of the Popular Front Party Agyl Gumbatov; an activist of the &#8220;Muslim Unity&#8221; Razi Humbatov and two more people each convicted in the &#8220;Ganja case&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Political prisoners are classified into six groups: \u201cJournalists and bloggers\u201d &#8211; 7 people, \u201cMembers of opposition parties and movements\u201d &#8211; 7 people, \u201cBelievers\u201d &#8211; 20 people, Convicted in the Terter case &#8211; 27 people, Convicted in the Ganja case &#8211; 47 people, \u201cLife sentenced\u201d &#8211; 14 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The list was compiled by former \u201cprisoners of conscience\u201d &#8211; director of the Institute for Peace and Democracy Leyla Yunus and head of the public association \u201cMonitoring Center for Political Prisoners\u201d Elshan Hasanov.<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Union &#8220;For Freedom of Political Prisoners&#8221; of Azerbaijan today published an updated list of political prisoners of Azerbaijan for September 1.
