However, the president&#8217;s security officers took the canister and lighter away from him, and detained him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The journalists covering the action were pressured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Interior Ministry said that in connection with this issue, the official announcement will be later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Giyas Ibrahimov was arrested in May 2016, when, together with another activist, the late Bayram Mammadov, he painted a monument to Heydar Aliyev with political slogans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both were sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of drug trafficking. Later, the ECHR declared their arrest illegal.
