{"id":24438,"date":"2022-05-25T09:25:27","date_gmt":"2022-05-25T09:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.irfs.org\/?p=24438"},"modified":"2022-05-25T09:25:29","modified_gmt":"2022-05-25T09:25:29","slug":"political-prisoner-released-on-expiry-of-his-sentence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.irfs.org\/az\/news-feed\/political-prisoner-released-on-expiry-of-his-sentence\/","title":{"rendered":"Political prisoner released on expiry of his sentence"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Member of the Party of People&#8217;s Front of Azerbaijan (PPFA) Agil Magerramli (Magerramov) was released from the colony today upon the expiration of his 4-year prison term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The activist was released early in the morning to prevent a meeting outside the colony with a large number of PPFA members and journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Magerramli stated that after his release he would continue his political activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recall that Magerramli was arrested in May 2018 in a trumped-up case of &#8220;illegal financing of the PPFA.&#8221; He sentenced to a four-year of imprisonment.
