Lawyer Elchin Sadigov was also arrested for the same period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">311.3.3 of the Criminal Code of Zeynalli (accepting a large amount of bribe), and Sadigov 32.5, 311 (assistance in accepting a bribe).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to their lawyers, the prosecutor&#8217;s office started the criminal prosecution based on the information published in the mass media, and there is no specific complainant in the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sadigov and Zeynalli deny the accusations and associate criminal prosecution with their professional activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both of them refused to testify to the investigation, considering the criminal case to be a fabrication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Court decisions will be appealed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following the presentation of the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor&#8217;s Office of Azerbaijan, the Binagadi District Court of Baku decided to arrest journalist Avaz Zeynalli for a period of 4 months.
