{"id":26337,"date":"2023-09-18T09:17:09","date_gmt":"2023-09-18T09:17:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.irfs.org\/?p=26337"},"modified":"2023-09-18T09:17:09","modified_gmt":"2023-09-18T09:17:09","slug":"ppfa-activists-detained-in-gazakh-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.irfs.org\/az\/news-feed\/ppfa-activists-detained-in-gazakh-region\/","title":{"rendered":"PPFA activists detained in Gazakh region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Local activists of the Party of People&#8217;s Front of Azerbaijan (PPFA) Tahir Veliyev, Fazail Aliyev and his son Farid Aliyev were detained in Gazakh region on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Closer to midnight, Veliyev was released, Ramil Jarchiyev, a member of the Supreme Majlis of the PPFA, told Turan.<\/p>\n<p>Veliyev himself told Turan that he was detained because of an interview he had with residents of seven Gazakh villages that had been under Armenian occupation since the early 1990s.<\/p>\n<p>Fazail Aliyev was taken to court today, according to local activists, he is charged with committing an administrative offence &#8211; &#8220;disobeying the police&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, the local court fined him 200 manats &#8220;for resisting the police&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, his son Farid Aliyev continues to be held in the regional police station, where, according to the same sources, a drug case is being prepared against him.<\/p>\n<p>It was not possible to get a comment from the Interior Ministry.
