The appeal from \u201cToplum TV&#8217;s\u201d founder, Alesker Mamedli, was not reviewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On October 2-3, the detention terms for these individuals were extended until January 6. On March 6-8, nine journalists and activists from \u201cToplum TV\u201d and its partner organization, the Institute for Democratic Initiatives, were detained and accused of smuggling foreign currency. Seven were arrested, while two were placed under police supervision.
