The defense considers the activist&#8217;s detention unfounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As reported by the &#8220;Caucasian Knot&#8221;, on December 3, 2024, the executive director of the human rights organization &#8220;Line of Defense&#8221; Rufat Safarov was detained in Baku and arrested the next day. The Court of Appeal upheld the decision on the arrest, despite the lawyers&#8217; arguments about the groundlessness of the criminal prosecution and the health problems of the human rights activist&#8217;s father.
