According to a statement posted on the public union\u2019s Facebook<\/em> page on May 11, Valiyev informed his family that he cannot go outdoors due to severe eye pain. He also noted that no doctor had been assigned to him in the detention center and emphasized the need for transfer to a rehabilitation center for proper diagnosis and treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n His relatives stated: \u201cNo doctor has been assigned at the place of detention to conduct his examination and treatment. He needs treatment at a rehabilitation center.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The \u201cYoung Veterans\u201d Public Union told Toplum TV<\/em> that following the examination, Haji Valiyev was returned to the detention facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Valiyev was detained on March 31, 2025, by officers of the Baku City Main Police Department. On April 1, a 22-day pre-trial detention measure was imposed on him. He is charged under Articles 221.3 (hooliganism committed using a weapon or items used as a weapon) and 186.1 (intentional destruction or damage to another person\u2019s property causing significant material damage) of the Criminal Code. However, the specific motive behind the charges has not been disclosed. Valiyev denies all accusations against him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He is known for publicly addressing the issues faced by veterans who lost their health in the Second Karabakh War, as well as the problems of martyr families.
