Bizim yol Newspaper journalist Ramid Ibrahimov appealed to the Media Rights Institute, Internal Affairs Ministry, Chief Prosecutor Office, and Press Council after being physically assaulted by a Baku City Executive Office (BCEO) official on 26th of November.
Ramid Ibrahimov`s representative Zibeyde Zekeryayeva from Media Rights Institute told Institute for Reporters` Freedom and Safety about it.
Z.Zekeryayeva said that Media Rights Institute sent appeals to the aforementioned organizations and demanded investigation into the incident to determine who injured the journalist, and to take relevant measure regarding them.
BACKGROUND
On November 26, Bizim yol newspaper employee Ramid Ibrahimov was physically assaulted by a Baku City Executive Office (BCEO) official. The BCEO official attacked him and tried to seize his camera while he was taking photos on 73 A. Tobpcubasov Street, where a building was being demolished to make room for the “Winter Park” project.
“Bizim yol” daily newspaper has been operating since 2003.
