COURT LAW COUNCIL CONSIDERS IRFS’ APPEAL

Court Law Council (CLC) considered the appeal of the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety.

This was noted in the letter IRFS received from CLC TODAY, 6 January.
Many times different judges banned IRFS employees from conducting monitoring and to film and take photos during open court hearings. IRFS appealed to CLC in connection with this issue on 27.11.2008.
It is noted in the letter that Court Law Council recommended the Baku Appellate Court, Nasimi and Yasamal District Courts to investigate this issue and to take relevant measures according to law.
