GANIMET ZAHID HAS NO DESIRE TO PARTICIPATE IN APPELLATE COURT HEARING

Yesterday lawyer Osman Kazimov visited Ganimet Zahid in prison.

Kazimov told the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety that Zahid does not want to participate in his appellate court hearing.  Zahid told Kazimov that this is due to the pre-determined and politically motivated nature of his trial. The imprisoned chief editor said also said that he has plans to start a hunger-strike.
