The League of Democratic Journalists revealed the results of its monthly monitoring in the area of press and speech freedom carried out within the framework of "The Monitoring of Media Problems, Legal and Financial Assistance to Journalists" Project.
According to the League’s report, 30 violations and noteworthy incidents in the areas of press and speech freedom were registered during January. Mushfig Huseynov’s conviction, appellate complaints stemming from journalists' arrest and the subsequent rejections of these appeals, moral violations against mass media employees, threatening anonymous phone calls made to U. Jafarov and so on are reflected in the report.
