Today, 23 September, in the Supreme Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Nariman Huseynov a hearing was conducted on the cassation complaint of citizen Sayyara Huseynova against the decision of the Baku Appellate Court adopted on 22 May 2009.
Defendant Citizen Sayyara Haydarova, injured party Alim Babayev`s representative Zangi Nuraliyev and state plaintiff Rail Ismayilov participated in hearing.
Citizen S.Haydarova asked the court to send the lawsuit to the Appellate Court again.
The plaintiff’s representative Z.Nuraliyev asked the court to reject the lawsuit.
Judge N.Huseynov issued a decision to uphold the decision of the Baku Appellate Court.
Citizen Sayyara Heydarova was sentenced to 2 years 7 months and 15 days of corrective labor with one year conditional imprisonment (probation) under article 221.1 (hooliganism, violating public order, expressing disrespect in society openly, using force or threatening to use force on citizens, and destruction of private property) of the Criminal Code. S.Haydarova filed a cassation complaint against the decision of the Baku Appellate Court since the court upheld the decision of the lower court.
