Sport for Rights founder Rasul Jafarov transferred to prison

    On 5 August, human rights defender and founder of the Sport for Rights campaign Rasul Jafarov was transferred from the Kurdakhani detention facility to prison #10. Jafarov’s transfer took place in accordance with national legislation when the judgment in his case took effect following the Baku Court of Appeals decision of 31 July. Updates in trials of human rights defenders

  Intigam Aliyev   A preliminary appellate hearing took place in the case of human rights lawyer Intigam Aliyev on 6 July at the Baku Court of Appeals. During the trial, Aliyev was kept in a soundproof class cage and not allowed to consult with his lawyer.
