“Janub TV” News department chairman Bakhtiyar Akhundov told the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety that at 2 p.m. today Masalli Electricity Distribution Network chairman Allahverdi Ismayilov came to the TV channel’s office and begged for forgiveness from all the TV channel employees, including the technical department’s employees.
Ismayilov noted that, he’ll never repeat such an act of rudeness again.
Akhundov also added that, considering his apology, the incident between Allahverdi Ismayilov and TV channel has been ended.
Recall that two days ago, three employees of Janub TV channel were trying to interview Ismayilov about electricity problems in the villages of Masalli, when Ismayilov became upset and attacked the crew video-camera operator Elchin Azizov, reported hitting the man with a chair. Azizov’s hand was seriously injured in incident.
