The National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) conducted a meeting today.
According to the a press release that the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety received from NTRC, the implementation situation of legislation requirements in TV and radio broadcasting area has been discussed during the meeting. As a result of discussions, “Azad Azerbaijan” TV and Radio Company was fined in the amount of 1200 AZN for violating the requirements of articles 35.2, 35.8, 35.12, 32.0.6 of Azerbaijan Republic Law “On TV and Radio Broadcasting” and item 3 of “Special Regulations on Using State Language in TV and Radio Broadcasting Area” within the Territory of Azerbaijan Republic”
