AZERBAIJANI GOVERNMENT SAYS IT’S READY FOR DIALOGUE IN CONNECTION WITH FOREIGN RADIO STATIONS

“Azerbaijan is waiting for recommendations from the U.S. Broadcasting Board Governors (BBG) and the British Broadcasting Company (BBC).

Different organs and government leaders of America and Great Britain appealed to Azerbaijani government regarding foreign radio stations. Azerbaijani government is ready for a dialogue with these organizations.” “Turan” Information Agency was told this by Ali Hasanov, Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration Socio-political Department Head.
According to Ali Hasanov, Azerbaijan is ready to go on with broadcasting foreign radio stations via different means, except FM frequencies considered for local companies. A.Hasanov stated that he means international satellite broadcasting opportunities, cable TV and radio system and short and medium frequencies via satellite when he mentions different means.  It is also possible to carry out the mutual broadcasting practice with the USA and Great Britain according to inter-government contracts, said Hasanov.
