“BAKI-KHABAR” NEWSPAPER’S INTERNET SITE RESTORES ITS ACTIVITY

After a two-year break, “Baki-Khabar” newspaper’s internet site (www.baki-xeber.com) has restored its operations. The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety was told this by the newspaper’s editor-in-chief Aydin Guliyev.

“There have been recesses in printing ‘Baki-Khabar’ Newspaper and therefore the activity of its website was also ceased,” said Guliyev. “In September 2007 the newspaper was published again. However, the activity of the site was not restored. The reason of this was to renew the site and to increase the auditorium of the newspaper’s readers.”
Noting that they have a bigger reader contingent now, A. Guliyev emphasized that it was time that they restore the web site. The news will be renewed every hour on the site in the future, according to Guliyev.
