DEBATE ON “FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION” BILL DELAYED

The “Freedom of Expression” bill is not included in the agenda for parliament’s spring session.

Parliamentarian Igbal Agazade, a representative of the Azerbaijani Parliament’s Human Rights Commission, told this to “Day.az” internet web page.
Agazade said, “According to information I obtained from reliable sources, debate of this bill in Parliament’s permanent commissions has not been conducted. Taking this into consideration, we can say that debate on this matter during the spring session is not expected. But we’ll try to get this bill debated soon.”
Recall that the “Freedom of Expression” bill was supposed to be debated this past fall.
