Widow of slain editor-in-chief of Monitor journal Elmar Huseynov Rushaniyye Huseynova, who lives in Norway, appealed to the European Court of Human Rights regarding the failure to solve his murder, according to Turan Information Agency. The Norwegian Helsinki Committee assisted her in the preparation of the appeal.
R.Huseynova said that although 5 years have passed since E.Huseynov`s murder, the crime has not been solved, and the public hasnot been informed about this. R. Huseynova asked the Court to endorse the violation of article 2 (right to life), article 10 (freedom of expression) and article 13 (effective legal defense) of the European Convention on Human Rights.
