Yesterday a number of representatives of the international organizations and embassies in Baku visited Bayil prison #1.
They met with the imprisoned "Azadlig" Newspaper Editor-in-chief Ganimat Zahid while there. Chairman of the Committee against Tortures Elchin Behbudov told this to "Azadlig" newspaper. According to Behbudov, the Assistant Director of OSCE's Baku office Alex Shahtakhtinski, OSCE Human Rights Andreas Bush, USA Embassy representative Rebecca Naslund, Great Britain Embassy representative Declan Bryne and Norway Embassy representative Richard Scarboro participated in the monitoring. E. Behbudov stated that G. Zahid didn't complain about the conditions there or the attitude of the employees of the prison.
