Head of the Azizbayov Region Electric System Etibar Aliyev reportedly threatened “Gundalik Baki” Newspaper.
The newspaper’s chief editor Adil Huseynli told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety.
“We wrote about law violations committed against citizens by Azizbayov region Electric System in our newspaper. We contacted the head of the office Etibar Aliyev to investigate the complaints of citizens who appealed to us. Aliyev, rather than to bring light to the residents’ complaints, threatened us,” A. Huseynli said, adding that they will send the complaint letters coming to the editorial office to the prosecutor’s office.
