Today, 29 September, in the Sabail District Court, under the chairmanship of the Judge Fuad Huseynov, a hearing was held on the lawsuit field by Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting Closed JSC former editor Asef Guliyev against the company.
The defendant’s representative, Sedreddin Isgenderov, was present for the hearing, whereas the plaintiff and his representative were absent.
The Judge F.Huseynov said the plaintiff’s representative, Fariz Namazli, had filed a motion to postpone the hearing because Asef Guliyev was away on a visit. The judge scheduled the next hearing for 5 October, at 4:00 p.m.
Azerbaijan Television (AZTV) and Radio Broadcasting Closed JSC did not renew the contract with Guliyev after its expiration on 31st July. Guliyev demands that the station rescind his dismissal, appoint him editor of AZTV with a contract that has no expiration date, and pay compensation equal to the salary during the period of his dismissal.
