INSPECTIONS CONTINUE IN PUBLISHING HOUSE

Yesterday (January 23) Baku Tax Department employees conducted inspections in “Chap Evi” Publishing House.

Publishing House Director Shahbaz Khuduoglu told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety. He noted that these inspections are the continuation of inspections conducted in “Ganun Nashrlar Evi” Publishing House. Khuduoglu also emphasized that the department employees have confiscated financial documents related to the publishing house.
The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety spoke via telephone with Tax Ministry’s Press Service about these inspections. That office said that the tax ministry has a right to conduct inspections in any organization and/or business within the framework of Azerbaijan’s legislation. After the inspections conclude, a final report about the inspections will be announced.
