Youth Bloggers Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizade were arrested after an incident at “Lebonese”  (Livan) restaurant in July 8th, 2009. Although they were victims of physical assault, they were sent to prison under charges of hooliganism and inflicting intentional minor bodily harm. They were sentenced to 2.5 and 2 years of imprisonment respectively.
IRFS calls on Azerbaijani government to demonstrate goodwill and release the other blogger Emin Milli and journalist Eynulla Fatullayev, also imprisoned on fabricated charges.
