INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE HELD ON REGULATION OF TV BROADCASTING IN AZERBAIJAN

Today, 5 March, with the participation of the Media Rights Institute and Slovak based “Memo 98” organization, and the Institute for Reporters Freedom and Safety an international conference was conducted on regulation of TV and Radio sector, in the framework of project “Free Airwaves,” financed by the European Commission and the Marshall Fund.

Speeches were made on the regulation of TV and Radio broadcasting, the monitoring of operation of TV channels and radios, and legislative initiatives on TV and Radio broadcasting.
Local and international experts, representatives of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies and Public TV (ITV) took part in the event.
