Human rights defender Intigam Aliyev’s lawyers in Turkey, Tora Pekin and Halil Kojabash, have submitted an official complaint on behalf of Aliyev to Bakirkoy Prosecutor’s Office in Turkey, Yeni Musavat reports.
According to the report, the complaint demands that a criminal case be launched regarding the assault of Aliyev at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, on December 6th. The lawyers filed several motions with the Bakirkoy Prosecutor’s Office in Turkey. With the view to ensuring the objectivity of the investigation, the motions demand that the officials who assaulted Aliyev be identified, and for airport CCTV from December 6th and 7th to be examined.
