Arrested journalist Parviz Hashimli has expressed concern about his family being spied on, his spouse Ilaha Hashimova told IRFS on December 25.
According to Hashimova, late in the afternoon she heard someone turning the door handle and looking through the peephole saw a masked man standing behind the door.
“I immediately called Parviz’s friend Elchin Rustamli and lawyer Bahruz Bayramov. Officers from the Yasamal district police office and lawyer came and examined the scene. They advised me to file a police complaint and I did. The police officers told me that such things may occur, because Parviz Hashimli is a political prisoner. We have moved from our previous house in order that my kid never stressed again, but today she felt more stress than ever,” said the journalist’s spouse.
