JOURNALIST SENDS COMPLIANT TO THE APPELATE COURT

Today “Liberty” Radio correspondent Ilgar Nasibli filed a lawsuit on a one year suspended sentence to the Appellate Court.


The correspondent himself told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety.


Recall that, on December 5 in 2007 Ilgar Nasibov was sentenced to three months of imprisonment on the basis of a lawsuit put forth by Nakhchivan City Police Department Chief Sabuhi Novruzov. On December 10, Appellate Court released Ilgar Nasibov and adopted a decision regarding the one-year suspended sentence of imprisonment.
