Today in the Parliament a debate related to imprisoned journalists conducted. Parliamentarians Iltizam Akbarli and Panah Huseyn suggested releasing of imprisoned journalists.
They also noted that, the government makes obstacles for expression of freedom.
Bahar Muradova, the Vice-speaker noted that, she wants everybody to celebrate the holiday with their family. “But do the imprisoned journalists want it themselves? They had to think about what they write before the imprisonment. Today, no correspondent has been arrested for political motives. They should mostly know for what they were arrested. That is why they should confess their guilt and address an appeal to the president for the pardon. I think after that, they can be pardon”. “Mediaforum” web page gave the information.
