OFFICIAL STATE NEWSPAPERS’ PRICE HAS GONE UP

According to today’s information, the official state newspapers’ prices have gone up since January 1.

 The selling prices of the newspapers have gone up from 20 kopeck to 30 kopeck. To reveal this matter the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety spoke via telephone with Ikhtiyar Huseynli, Department chairman of “Azerbaijan” Newspaper which is press organ of Azerbaijan Parliament. Huseynli noted that, “press and other expenses regarding the newspaper publishing are regarded the main reasons for rice in price”. I.Huseynli also added that, a general agreement has been obtained with other state newspapers while raising the prices. “We planned rice in price 2-3 months ago. The former selling price-20 kopeck isn’t real”.
