Today Secretary General of OSCE Mr. Mark Perrin de Brishambo gave an interview to APA. During the interview the Secretary General answered to questions about measures the OSCE is going to take regarding the imprisoned journalists.
"We continue to pressure the government to release the imprisoned journalists," he said. "The Azerbaijani government needs to continue reforms to let the media cover issues that are important for public without fear of punishment. This may also help prevent the journalistic activity from being criminalized. Reconsidering the article on slander could be a big step in this direction."
