Today, 29 December, in the National TV and Radio Council, a ceremony was held to present awards to persons who were recognized for their work in the development of TV.
On 4 November, 2008 President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to award eight people to “Honored Journalist”, one person to “Honored Engineer” and five persons to “Honored Art Worker” honorary titles for their work in the development of TV.
Presidential Administration Socio-political Department Head Ali Hasanov presented the awards to laureates on behalf of the President Ilham Aliyev. Yusif Agayev, Mirshahin Agayev, Chingiz Aslanov, Faig Husiyev, Vagif Isayev, Ilgar Mammadov Rafig Nabiyev, and Elman Shirbagirov were awarded to “Honored Journalist” medal, Knyaz Mehdiyev to “Honored Engineer”, and Aygun Garabagli, Elkhan Mammadli, Azad Mammadov, Rahima Mirzayeva, and Yusif Yagubov to “Honored Art Worker” order for their work in the development of TV in Azerbaijan.
The event concluded with granting Dilbar Akhundzade and Movlud Balakishiyev to individual presidential pension for their work in the development of mass media in Azerbaijan.
