PETITION CAMPAIGN FOR IMPRISONED JOURNALISTS BEGINS
“A+Z” Reporters Club joined the Free Speech Revolutionaries club. Club’s coordinator Ramin Deko told the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety (IRFS) that this step was taken because the “A+Z” club, which was created on January 26 this year, does the same work the IWR club does.

R.Deko added that today, 9 February, they began a petition campaign for the release of imprisoned journalists –Editor-in-chief of Gundelik Azerbaijan and Realniy Azerbaijan Newspapers Eynulla Fatullayev, Azadlig Newspaper Editor-in-chief Ganimat Zahid (Zahidov), and youth bloggers – Emin Milli (Abdullayev) and  Adnan Hajizade. According to Deko, a letter will be addressed to the president of the country after 1000 signatures are gathered for each journalist.
IWR club was founded by a group of journalists in October, 2008.
