According to today’s edition (on December 19) of “Ses” Newspaper, Ministry of Interior Press Service representative Ehsan Zahidov expressed his opinion about police-journalist relations.
He noted that, the sayings about journalists’ beating by the police are nonsense. “There is not such fact. Such kind of incident can be happen only during the dispersing of illegal protest action. During such process the police perhaps just push any journalist”.
In the article the author’s supplementary information are also published: “If any correspondent carries out illegal actions abusing his/her profession, or tries to hold pickets, rallies limited by law, then the police have the right to use their profession authority”.
