PRELIMINARY HEARING AGAINST “NOTA” NEWSPAPER EDITOR-IN-CHIEF POSTPONED AGAİN

Today, 12 May, in the Khatai District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Habil Mammadov, a preliminary hearing was scheduled to take place on the lawsuit of Deputy Minister of Interior, Internal Army Commander, General-Lieutenant Zakir Hasanov against “Nota” Newspaper editor-in-chief Sardar Alibeyli in the special format.

However, the judge postponed the hearing until 19 May at 4:00 p.m. because no one on behalf of the plaintiff took part in the hearing. Judge H.Mammadov emphasized that the plaintiff has come to the hearing for the second time without any explanation and if the plaintiff does not participate in the next hearing, the lawsuit will be thrown out.
 
Deputy Minister of Interior, Internal Army Commander, General-Lieutenant Zakir Hasanov has filed a lawsuit against “Nota” Newspaper editor-in-chief Sardar Alibeyli  in the special format under article 147.2 (libel in accusing someone of grave or especially grave crime) of the Criminal Code claiming that the articles about the Internal troops published in the latest editions of the newspaper contained writings damaging to his honor and dignity and his reputation.
