Rana Zahidova, the wife of “Azadlig” Newspaper correspondent satiric Mirza Sakit told the Institute for Reporters’ Institution Freedom and Safety that, on December 18 she addressed an appeal to Fikrat Mammadov Justice Minister and Nazim Alakbarov, Justice Ministry’s Penitentiary Service chairman. In the appeal it is stated that, M.Sakit’s health deteriorates and that is why he needs serious medical treatment for recovering.
Zahidova asked to place Mirza Sakit to the treatment facility of the Justice Ministry’s Chief Medical Department.
