RESULTS OF JOURNALIST’S AUTOPSY RELEASED

The coroner’s report on the death of Shahin Agabayli, late editor-in-chief of Poligon news agency and Milli Yol newspaper, was released today, announced Head of State Traffic Police Investigations Vagif Najafov. Agabayli was killed in a car accident in October last year.

Najafov reported that the examination proves that Agli Alasgarli, the driver, had been to blame for the accident. “Alasgarli was seriously injured in the accident, and is still in hospital- he cannot be brought to trial. The case is being postponed indefinitely,” he said.
Agabayli’s friends and colleages met in the Hope Party headquarters this morning to commorate his birthday. They shared memories and stories about the late editor. They also discussed the necessity of providing for Agabayli’s family, including finding them somewhere to live.
