Imprisoned “Azadlig” Newspaper employee, satiric/journalist Sakit Zahidov’s health is worsening.
Zahidov’s wife Rana Zahidova told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety, “Sakit still has pain. He wants us to visit him immediately.”
IRFS contacted the Public Relations Department of the Penitentiary Service regarding this. This agency informed IRFS that this information is wrong. “Sakit doesn’t have any health problems. If this happens, we have doctors in the prison,” they said.
