SEYYARE HEYDEROVA SAYS SHE FACED PHYSICAL PRESSURE

Citizen Sayyara Heydarova told the Institute for Reprters’ Freedom and Safety that she was subjected to physical pressure in the Khatai District Apartment-communal Economy Union on 2 April.

She pointed out that when she appealed to Apartment-communal Economy Union to determine the identity of the tractor driver, whose name was used in the criminal case, when Deputy Chief named Yusif pushed her down the stairs.
S. Heyderova said that she was injured badly during the incident and therefore appealed to the Khatai District Police Department #36.
The Khatai District Apartment-communal Economy Union told IRFS that they didn’t have any information regarding this issue.
Khatai District Police Department #36 employee, who wanted to remain unidentified, refused to talk about this issue.
Citizen Sayyara Heydarova was sentenced to 2 years 7 months and 15 days of corrective labor with one year conditional imprisonment (probation) under articles 221.1, 221.1 and 221.3 of the Criminal Code. The Appellate Court upheld the decision of the Surakhani District Court on 10 November.
