Taleh Khasmemmedov, a resident of Goychay region who reported illegal activities of the Kurtlar Vadisi criminal group and on women trafficking occurring in Ujar region in October and November, has been arrested, reports the Human Rights Club (HRC).
Taleh’s mother, Gulbuta Khasmammadova, told HRC that 3 days ago her son was taken from Goychay to the Ujar region and has been held in the police station since his arrest. Yesterday, an investigation was carried out at their home, and computers and other things belonging to Taleh Khasmammadov were confiscated.
“Although today I went to the Ujar Regional Police to see my son, they didn’t allow me to. They only told me that they have right to detain her son, because he resisted the police.”- said Gulbuta Khasmammadova.
