During a press conference held in Strasburg yesterday, 29 April, the Council of Europe’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Thomas Hammerberg assessed the imprisonment of journalists in Azerbaijan negative.
This was reported by APA Information Agency. T.Hammerberg expressed opinion on the situation of human rights in Azerbaijan, and said that during his next visit to Azerbaijan he will discuss the issues related to freedom of speech, situation of media and protection of minorities’ rights.
