The National TV and Radio Council (NTRC) is planning to create Monitoring Centers to carry out the monitoring of TV channels in the regions of Azerbaijan.
Togrul Mammadov, NTRC assistant chairman, told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety.
“First, a Monitoring Center is slated to be opened in Ganja City to monitor TV channels in Ganjabasar region. We are negotiating with Ganja City’s Executive Administration regarding this issue. If the Executive Adminsitration allocates space for the council, it will be possible to do necessary work to conduct the monitoring of the TV channels in the region,” he said.
