[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On Thursday, Gulyetar Mahmudova, an employee of the “Toplum TV” online platform, was interrogated for three hours at the Baku City Police Headquarters in the “Toplum TV” case. Lawyer Akif Aliyev told reporters that the interrogation was conducted in connection with the information in the journalist’s phone.
“The interrogation lasted more than three hours. There was no pressure. Earlier, Mahmudova’s phone was seized. The questions were asked in connection with the contents of the phone. They had a phone access code. They looked at the correspondence on WatsApp,” the lawyer said.
Mahmudova herself also confirmed that the call was related to information on her phone. “They asked general questions,” she said, refraining from detailed comments due to the secrecy of the investigation. However, the phone was not returned to the journalist.
