[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The son of the head of the Musavat Party Arif Hajily – Orhan Hajily has been released under house arrest, lawyer Nemat Kerimli told Turan.
According to him, on December 19, the Yasamal district court of Baku granted the defense’s request to transfer Hajily to house arrest.
“The investigation is ongoing for 50 days, during this period the grounds for Orhan Hajily’s detention were eliminated, therefore we filed a petition. The court found our petition justified,” Kerimli said.
The leader of Musavat Arif Hajily himself called the release of his son a positive fact.
“The latest wave of arrests began with Orhan’s arrest. I hope that the wave of liberation will also begin with his release,” said Arif Hajily.
*On November 2, the Yasamal court of Baku arrested Orhan Hajily for 2 months on charges under Article 263.1 (Violation of traffic rules that caused less serious harm to health) and Article 264 (Abandoning the scene of a traffic accident) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. He was involved in an accident that occurred on October 11 due to the fault of another driver.
