On 18 November, various eco-activist groups held several anti-pollution protests at COP29.
For instance, feminists from different countries organised an action under the slogan: ‘Feminists demand climate justice!’. They demanded that industrialised countries allocate the necessary funds to fight climate change.
Further activists from the African continent held actions under the slogans: ‘Decolonize climate finance!’, ‘African youth demand climate justice!’, ‘Stop exploiting us to your own detriment!’, ‘Stop land grabbing through carbon markets!’, ‘Stop fossil fuel extraction in the Niger Delta!’, ‘Don’t burn the planet!’, ‘Climate justice!’, ‘Don’t extract oil, keep it in the ground!’ and others.
