Today, on 26th of November, the nephew of blogger Sameddin Mamedov arrested in Jalilabad region of Azerbaijan Republic, Elsever Mamedov was attacked by unidentified persons. This information is provided by the blogger’s son, Nakhid Mamedov. The unknown persons have beaten up Elsever Mamedov, who participated yesterday in the action in front of the embassy of France, warned him and said that Kerem Gasanov (the aide to the President of Azerbaijan – head of the section on the issues of state control in the Office of the President of Azerbaijan) and his brother Malik, as well as Rafiq Jalilov, the head of executive authorities of Jalilabad region of Azerbaijan Republic, are sending him their ‘greetings’.
It should be reminded that blogger Sameddin Mamedov was renowned for his critical publications in the social media against former chairman of the State Committee on property issues, the aide to the President of Azerbaijan – head of section on the issues of state control in the Office of the President of Azerbaijan, Kerem Gasanov. And, as the blogger’s family members are stating, he ordered the arrest of the blogger.
